Kirk Herbstreet Varsity Football Series

By Jeff Fisher
The High School Football Huddle

Eighteen top-level football games in three days is the best way to sum-up the Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series that will be played Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Ohio and Texas. Action began at 11 AM EST in Canton and Cincinnati.

The biggest game is being played right now at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati where nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas (#6 USA Today) from Florida is facing Elder High School from Cincinnati. STA is loaded with plenty of offensive talent that starts with
wide receiver Duron Carter, son of former NFL player Chris Carter. Like his dad, Duron is being recruited by Ohio State.
