Bismarck ended Fargo South's stranglehold on the North Dakota Class 11AAA title Saturday night with a 28-19 in the championship game in the Alerus Center. Harvey closed out the 2008 season in high style Friday. The Hornets pitched their eighth straight shutout beating Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock 14-0 to capture their second straight North Dakota high school football championship. Harvey hasn't allowed a point since a September 19th loss against Velva. Friday's shutout was the tenth of the season for Harvey. Click here for a game story.
Friday in the Alerus Center, Hillsboro put at least 38-points on the scoreboard for the tenth straight game as the Burros rolled to North Dakota's 9-Man state championship with a 48-3 win over Williams County, which entered the game a perfect 12-0. For a game recap, click here.
Fargo South will go for the three-peat next Saturday at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks when it plays Bismarck for the North Dakota 3A high school football championship. The top-ranked Bruins beat Bismarck Century 35-7 in the semifinals Saturday. To read a game story, click here.
After back-to-back Class 3A North Dakota high school football championships Fargo South showed Saturday that it's ready for the three-peat. The Bruins shutout Minot 30-0 in the quarterfinals to advance to the semis where they will be matched with Bismarck, which lost to Fargo South in last year's state title game.
