Congratulations go out today to Shattuck High in Oklahoma which tied the national record for consecutive wins for an 8-man high school football team. The Indians beat Sharon-Mutual 46-32 Friday night for their 90th straight victory. Shattuck can set a new record with a win next Friday against Goodwell.
Meanwhile, the nation's longest active win streak for an 11-man team seems to back in high gear.
After a couple of close victories earlier this season, the Smith Center (KS) Redmen are rolling once again. Friday night, the Redmen beat Osborne 47-7 for their 74th straight win, which ties Maryville (TN) for the fourth longest straight of all-time. In the last two games, Smith Center has outscored its opponents 109-14.
