Family of Max Gilpin Appears on CBS Early Show

Yesterday, acquitted Pleasure Park Ridge head coach Jason Stinson went on the national television to talk about the highly publicized trial in Kentucky. Today, Max Gilpin's mother went on CBS' The Early Show to talk about the jury decision and the situation surrounding the August, 2008 heat-related death of her son. During the interview, Max's mom, Michele Crockett said she has not had a personal apology from Stinson, and would like one. You can watch the entire The Early Show interview right here.

Jason Stinson Speaks Goes on National Television for First Time Since Trial

For the first time since being acquitted of all charges in the death of 15-year old Max Gilpin, former Pleasure Ridge Park head football coach Jason Stinson talked with the media today. ESPN's Bob Ley inteviewed Stinson and his lawyer on Outside the Lines.

Kentucky High School Football Coach Found Not Guilty in Player's Death

After a nearly two week trial, it took a Kentucky jury only 90-minutes to find former Pleasure Ridge Park high school football coach Jason Stinson not guilty of all charges in the heat related death of Max Gilpin in August, 2008. The Louisville Courier-Journal has the details of the decision.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, the case of former Pleasure Ridge Park head football coach Jason Stinson, charged with reckless homicide and wanton endangerment in the heat-related death of Max Gilpin, could go to the jury later Thursday for deliberations. Jury selection continues today in the trial of former Pleasure Park Ridge head football coach Jason Stinson, who is charged with reckless homicide and wanton endangerment in the August 20, 2008 death of his player Max Gilpin. The Louisville Courier- Journal reports that jury selection has been slow because of media exposure.
