Gaffney started the season in the shadow of Byrnes High School, but after beating the Rebels early in the season, it was all Indians after that. Saturday Gaffney put the cherry on top of the sundae with a 45-0 beating of Irmo to win the school's 15th state football championship.
Gaffney won the Class 4A Division I championship with a well-balanced attacked that rang-up 200 yards rushing and 254 passing.
