Meanwhile, the AJC Pre-Season rankings are out and Lowndes, a team that is getting notice from several national high school football polls, is the #1 team in Class AAAAA. Lowndes will be going for its fourth title (2003, 2004, 2007) in six years. The Vikings have 16 starters back from last year's championship team.
Making the class extremely interesting is the fact that Northside-Warner Robins is moving up from Class AAAA after two straight titles while going 30-0. Lowndes and and Northside will play in Region 1-AAAAA and face each other on October 3rd in Valdosta.
