With lots of firepower at the top of Kentucky 6A classification, Boone County is hoping that it can just keep improving and get a shot at either St. Xavier or Trinity in the post-season. Friday night Boone County, ranked #3 in the lastest Associated Press Class 6A rankings, beat Ryle 28-14 to clinch a top-seed for the playoffs. It was a big night for junior running back Charles Quainoo, who carried 53 times for 306 yards. The Kentucky record for carries in a game is 57 set by Jeremy Britt of Warren East back in 1997.
