The first two games of the McDonald's Kirk Herbstreit Ohio Vs. USA Challenge have lived up to their billing. First #2 Byrnes survived and beat Moeller 21-20, then #3 Lakeland needed overtime to beat St. Xavier 25-22.
Lakeland won it on a 42-yard field goal by Matt Roddenbery. St. X had a chance to win, but the game ended on a Lakeland interception.
To loss snapped St. Xavier's 18-game win streak.
