#16 Muskegon (MI) Upset In Regular Season Finale

We got our first final for Friday night....and it was a dandy as Rockford knocked off previously unbeaten Muskegon 28-21 before a sellout crowd.

Muskegon (8-1) entered the game riding a 22-game win streak and a #16 ranking in the latest USA Today Super 25 High School Football Poll. With the victory, Rockford (8-1), Muskegon and Hudsonville finish in a three-way tie for the Ottawa-Kent Red Conference championship.

Both of these teams should make some noise on the state level when district play opens next week.

Muskegon captured Divsion II titles in 2004 and 2006, while Rockford won back-toback Division I titles in 2004 and 2005.

Keep checking The High School Football Huddle throughout the night for high school football scores from around the nation.
