Damascus Captures Maryland's 3A Championship
Another big weekend of handing out the hardware began Thursday night with the first championship trophy being awarded in Maryland.
Damascus (13-1) beat Hereford 40-20 for Maryland's 3A championship. Damascus was led by Kyle Frazier, who was very efficient completing 10-of-13 pases for 211 yards and four touchdowns. His top receiver was Lee Hertel, who caught six of Frazier's ten completions for 166 yards and one touchdown. When Frazier wasn't throwing he was handing off to running back Evan Zedler, who carried the ball 33 times for 203 yards and a touchdown.
