Years from now players on this year's Hodgson Vo-Tech team can tell their grandchildren that they were the first team from the first state to ever win 13-games in a season.
HVT captured lucky #13 in thrilling fashion to beat Caravel Academy 24-16 to win the Delaware Division II high school football title. Hodgson did it by scoring two touchdowns and two two-point conversions in the last 3:52.
The game winner came with just 20 seconds to go when quarterback Jamie Treml hit Jamal Merrell with a four-yard touchdown pass.

i remember this. i go to hodgson votech right now(2008). i am a sophomore. i will always remember this and even tell my grandchildren that my high school was the first team to ever win and high school championship in the first state being undefeated. i love hodgson and always will ;p
