The High School Football Huddle
USA Today's 2007 national champ was flying under the radar this year. Even though the Miami Northwestern (7-1, 3-1) lost its season-opener to nationally-ranked Long Beach Poly, it didn't matter because, under Florida rules, the game was considered an exhibition game. BTW...Poly does count the victory.Anyway, depending who's county, the Bulls suffered either their first or second loss of the season Friday night when Miami Central (6-3, 5-0) beat them 27-25. The loss ended Northwestern's 37-game Miami-Dade County win streak. Northwestern entered the game as the state's #2 6A team. Click here for a game recap.
