High School Football Huddle In Eastern PA

The High School Football Huddle was in Eastern Pennsylvania Friday night to check out my alma mater Wilson High School. That's me on the sideline gathering some highlights.

The defending 2A champs didn't disappoint in a 38-7 win over Saucon Valley in Hellertown. The most impressive part of the victory was the play of sophomore quarterback Tyler Smith, who has some big shoes to fill. Smith, starting just his second varsity game, is taking over for four-year starter D.J. Lenehan, who's now at Toledo.

Smith completed 13-of-26 passes for a career high 213-yards and two touchdowns. Smith spread the ball around in head coach Bret Comp's Air-Raid attack, completing passes to seven receivers.

Wilson has now won 18 straight overall and 19 straight in the Colonial League.

Below you can check-out highlights of this sophomore that may end-up rewriting Wilson's record book, and make Wilson fans stop worrying about losing 18 key members of the 2006 state championship team.
