For the first time since 2005 Northwestern trailed an opponent at halftime, but in the end the Bulls were able to rebound an pull-out a 28-18 win over Homestead on Friday night.
Maybe Northwestern was caught looking ahead to next week's showdown with #1 Southlake Carroll, but either way Homestead did a great job taking a 9-0 first quarter lead, and then a 15-14 lead into the lockerroom. Northwestern committed six turnovers to hamper its cause.
