#15 Pittsburgh Central Catholic Beats Gateway 35-34 in OT in WPIAL AAAA Final

In what may be one of the best games in the history of the 101 year old WPIAL, nationally-ranked Pittsburgh Central Catholic beat Gateway 35-34 in overtime to win the AAAA championship.

Gateway scored first in overtime, but had the extra point block. PCC tied it on its possession with a 6-inch sneak from quarterback Tino Sunseri. PCC converted the extra point for the win.

Gateway back fought back from a 28-13 deficit with :53 to play to tie Pittsburgh Central Catholic 28-28 in regulation.

Gateway began the season nationally ranked, but lost its season opener to national ranked Cardinal Mooney. The Gators had won 11 straight, while Pittsburgh Central Catholic is now a perfect 13-0.

The High School Football Huddle will have more details later in the night.
