Tonopah will have to starting making room in its trophy case after Saturday's 54-20 win over Carlin that gave the Muckers the school's first-ever 1A state high school football championship.
The Muckers, who finished runner-up in 2006, exploded for five touchdowns in the fourth quarter to blow the game wide-open. Tonopah's offense was clicking on all cylinders, with seven plays go for 40-yards or more.
